01 - Spread 1 tablespoon softened butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
02 - Place two bread slices butter-side down on a clean work surface. Spread 2 tablespoons pizza sauce on the unbuttered side of each slice.
03 - Arrange mozzarella slices over sauce, followed by pepperoni if desired. Sprinkle evenly with Parmesan, oregano, and basil.
04 - Top with remaining bread slices, buttered side facing outward.
05 - Heat nonstick skillet over medium heat. Place sandwiches in pan and cook for 3-4 minutes, pressing gently with spatula.
06 - Flip sandwiches carefully and cook another 3-4 minutes until bread is golden brown and cheese melts completely.
07 - Transfer sandwiches to cutting board, let cool 1-2 minutes, slice diagonally, and serve immediately.
